Your baby's development

Your baby is about 36 cm long and weighs about 760 grams.

This week you will feel your baby's sleep and wake cycles more clearly. Every baby has a different activity schedule. Your baby is very active and may jump and kick, which can make you feel as if your baby has hiccups.

At this stage your baby's brain is also maturing, with more folds. And your baby has started curiously exploring the world around them, parents. Your baby can touch and grasp, suck their fingers and kick your tummy.

Your body

Your belly button may pop out more. But don't worry, this only happens during pregnancy.

At this stage you may have trouble sleeping. Exercise during the day, get some fresh air, practise deep breathing (you can use Doti's smart support feature for this) and limit drinks such as water before bed.

Bloating and difficulty controlling wind still happen. Short-term memory lapses may still occur. Migraines can make you uncomfortable. Share with your partner and family so you get more care and support.

Because pregnancy hormones dry out your eyes, you may have blurred vision. Use eye drops to ease this. But see a doctor if your vision drops a lot, as this is linked to pre-eclampsia.

Many mums also feel a heavy, aching pain in the lower tummy; if the pain is strong, see a doctor to rule out preterm labour.

Advice for you

Make time to rest, eat a varied diet and don't hesitate to tell the people around you when you need help.
