Your baby's development

Your baby is about 37.6 cm long and weighs about 1 kg.

Your baby's heart rate is slower than before, about 140 beats per minute. Your baby's brain is developing rapidly at this stage.

And believe it or not, your baby can now dream, parents. Rapid eye movement (REM) is the stage when dreams occur, which is important for newborns, especially in the first three months. Oh, you can tell your partner straight away:

- Darling, our baby can dream now!

Your body

You have entered the third trimester of pregnancy. You may become more sensitive and anxious. Many uncomfortable symptoms continue, and you feel tired as your body gets heavier day by day.

It's okay, Momby is always by your side – you are Momby's pride and joy!

Advice for you

From this week you need a regular ultrasound every 2 weeks to check your baby's growth and the development of the placenta. At week 28 you will have your Rhesus blood group checked, which is a very important test. Stay relaxed, rest a lot and share your difficulties with your family and your doctor.
